The mother of all BBQ - The Outback returns.. I initially invested in a Hunter Outback BBQ over 8 years ago. Having had probably >1000 bbqs in that time (including Xmas lunch) it was time to replace - I looked around at other brands but there was only 1 product - The Outback. Moving to a 6 burner does give you ample more room for larger parties and it maintains the overall robust Outback feel. The original Outback lasted me 8 years with the burners giving away in the end due to rust but with >1000 bbqs in that time it was worth every penny. Upgrading to the 6 burner cost me approximately the same as the Hunter did in 1998 - great value, product will last many years (so dont go for the more expensive stainless steel version. Delivery was prompt - other sites offered the product at the same price but ccould not get stock to late spring - I ordered the product on the Tuesday and it was delivered on the Thursday - fantastic service. Please note you will need 2 people to assemble and you can use butane attachments as well - no need to buy expensive new cyliner if you already have blue cannister.

Great product once assembled 'though this is somewhat fiddley- does need the two persons as directed in the instructions. Sacrificed the propane regulator supplied for butane as gas is much less expensive & more widely available locally & cooking still very efficient.

Looks superb. Fantastic value for money for such a well made and sturdy BBQ. It is around 180 cm long in total so be prepared to sacrifice space to install. Assembly was a little tricky for one person although the instructions specifically requires 2 people. Cooks fantastically and thus far no issues with rust or anything else.(I bought the full sized Outback cover, a smart choice). The burners are enamelled cast iron like the ones on typical gas cookers at home and are good quality. If you're accustomed to using Butane you will need to buy a 13kg bottle of Propane to power it. The BBQ came with a Propane Regulator.

Smart looker, huge cooking area. Free regulator is a myth. Weak points are cast iron burners, lava rock holders prone to rust and disintegration. However more robust BBQ's are much more expensive, so this appears to offer excellent value.

The 3 & 6 burner barbecue''''s are both fantastic but it would be nice to see the cooking areas split 50-50 with a simple flat cast iron hob as I have a relatively ancient barbecue with a flat hob and it is unbeatable to cook on even to the point of frying eggs!
